Biography

My love of photography was instilled in me from a very young age from my father. Growing up in the Czech Republic and spending family vacations traveling around Europe I realized that my father was able to capture those moments in time with his camera. This is where my love of photography originated. At the age of ten, I received my first hand me down camera. I quickly began capturing images of my own and began to learn and master the craft.

When I moved to the United States, my love of photography only grew. The breathtaking countryside provided constant inspiration and it was a way for me to capture memories. When my husband and I started a family I began to document my children’s adventures and that occupied me for many years.

When I joined the Coachella Valley Desert Camera Club I started to view photography as an artistic expression and moved away from the snapshots I was used to taking.

Being a part of a photographic enthusiast group has been extremely rewarding for me. I have learned great tips and have been able to share my knowledge and experiences with photographers that are equally as talented. I started to receive recognition and awards for my photographs shortly after joining. I am constantly growing and improving my work as that is my ongoing goal.

My husband and I spend lots of time traveling and that provides me with unique opportunities to capture magnificent photographs. While traveling, I am always willing to go the extra mile for the perfect photo. Whether putting myself in harm’s way during elk mating season or getting particularly close to a waterfall, I am always the first one there and the last one to leave.

Hope you enjoy my work!
